Privacy Policy

This policy explains what LogFolio handles when you use the public guides and private student workspace.

Information you provide

When you create an account, LogFolio may store profile details such as your name, email address, institution, department, placement organization, training dates, and supervisor information.

The service also stores the weekly activities, summaries, generated drafts, and related details you choose to add to your logbook workspace.

How the information is used

Your information is used to authenticate your account, save your work, generate requested logbook or defense content, prepare exports, maintain the service, and respond to support requests.

Training notes submitted for AI generation are sent to the configured AI provider only for processing the request. Do not enter passwords, private customer records, trade secrets, or other confidential workplace information.

Storage and service providers

LogFolio uses service providers for authentication, database storage, hosting, AI processing, and email or support operations. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their part of the service.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect account information, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Advertising and cookies

LogFolio may display advertising through Google AdSense on public pages and in reserved areas on the authenticated Dashboard, Logbooks, New Week, Templates, and Defense Prep pages. The Export Center may show one below the workflow after a PDF download starts. Detailed week entries and profile pages remain ad free.

On pages that display ads, Google and its advertising partners may process page context, cookies, local storage, IP addresses, or device information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising, including personalized ads where permitted. LogFolio does not pass form fields or saved report text to AdSense as explicit ad-targeting parameters.

Where consent is legally required, visitors are given the appropriate choices through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized advertising is served.

Your choices

You can review and update profile information inside LogFolio. You may also request help with access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting support.

You can manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings. Browser controls can also block or remove cookies, although doing so may affect some website features.

Updates and contact

This policy may be updated when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The date below identifies the latest published version.
