Terms of Service
These terms explain what you can expect from LogFolio and what LogFolio expects from you when you use the public guides and the private student workspace.
Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of the LogFolio website, public guides, and the student workspace available after you sign in. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.
If you do not accept these terms, do not create an account. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated version published on this page.
Who can use LogFolio
LogFolio is built for university, polytechnic, and college students completing SIWES, industrial training, or a comparable placement, and for the coordinators and supervisors who review that work.
You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live, and you must provide accurate registration details. Do not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.
Your account
You are responsible for the security of your sign-in method and for everything done through your account. Tell support promptly if you believe someone else has gained access.
Do not share one account between several students. Each logbook is meant to record the training of the person who performed it.
Honest documentation is your responsibility
LogFolio helps you organize and express work you actually performed or observed. It does not supply experience you did not have. Entries must describe real tasks from your own placement.
Examples in the guides and templates demonstrate good structure and reporting. They are illustrations, not experiences to copy into your own logbook.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit to your institution, and for meeting the format your department, coordinator, or supervisor requires. Requirements differ between institutions, so confirm the final format with them before you submit.
AI-assisted drafts
Generated drafts are produced from the notes you provide and are a starting point, not a finished submission. Read every draft, correct anything inaccurate, and remove anything that does not reflect your actual work.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or generically worded. LogFolio does not warrant that generated text is accurate, original, or acceptable to your institution.
Your institution sets its own rules on the use of AI assistance in assessed work. Following those rules is your responsibility, and using LogFolio does not override them.
Your content
The weekly activities, notes, and drafts you enter remain yours. You grant LogFolio the permission needed to store, process, display, and export that content so the service can operate for you.
Do not enter passwords, bank details, personal records belonging to other people, trade secrets, or confidential workplace information. Describe your work at a level your employer would be comfortable seeing in a submitted logbook.
The LogFolio name, design, written guides, and software remain the property of LogFolio and are not transferred to you by using the service.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or to other accounts. Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the guides or templates as your own product.
Do not use LogFolio to produce content that is unlawful, harassing, or deliberately deceptive, including documentation of a placement that did not take place.
Cost and advertising
The current logbook, PDF export, and defense preparation tools are available with a free account. LogFolio does not operate a subscription, premium tier, or payment gateway. If paid features are introduced, the price and terms will be shown before you are asked to pay for anything.
The service is supported by advertising on public guides and in reserved areas on selected pages. How advertising and cookies are handled is described in the privacy policy.
Availability, changes, and ending access
LogFolio is provided as it is available. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, or reasons outside our control. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, including exported PDFs.
You may stop using the service at any time and ask support to delete your account information. Access may be suspended or ended where these terms are breached or where continued use would create a legal or security risk.
Disclaimers and liability
LogFolio is a drafting and organization tool. It is not an academic authority, and it does not guarantee a grade, an approval, or acceptance of any submission by any institution.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LogFolio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost marks, lost placements, or lost data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law, updates, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
These terms may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest published version.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@logfolio.pro.
